Work it!

This morning was the women's luncheon at church and they had a very special event- a style show. My sweet and adorable friend, Emily, was one of the models. She did a great job. It was all I could do not to cheer to make her laugh! Way to go Em!

One of my favorite ladies in the church, Mrs. Helen Yeatts, was also one of the models She has been a member of the church since the 1940's! What a great example she is to us!

Another one of my precious friends, Susan, provided the music. She is so cute and did a fabulous job singing!

WOW!!

Our sweet friend, Hailey, was kind enough to snap some pictures of the kids yesterday. She is so talented! It was early in the morning, so the gardens were pretty much empty. We had a great time and got some beautiful shots. Here are a few of my faves...

And these are just a few of the many! Check out her blog for an entire slideshow and for info on Hailey!

These are a few of my favorite things

We were SO blessed to receive so many wonderful gifts! Here are just a few that jumped out to me lately!
I have received more compliments on this diaper bag! I love that it has stroller clips so I don't have to waste the storage space underneath! Thanks Joe and Laura!

One of my favorite students from last year and his family got this outfit for Cooper. Red Sox stuff is impossible to find around here (about as impossible as it is for the Rangers to find pitching...) so I was thrilled!

A sweet girl at the church makes these! I especially love the pacifier clip that is not in this picture. You can look on her website to check out all of her cute swag.

Papa has taken to occasionally calling our little guy "Mini Cooper," so of course he had to go online and get one for his room!

Cooper Playing

Pardon my annoying Mommy talk in the background and OF COURSE I turned it off right before he busted out a million dollar grin!

Tricycle Day

Caroline had tricycle day at school today. She had a blast! They had a little town set up outside and they were able to do things like go through the car wash, work in the garden and did up vegetables. I love our church preschool!!

Happy Easter

We enjoyed a great Easter Sunday. The service was wonderful with a great sermon as always!! After, we headed to my folks' house with a bunch of friends and family. Yummy food and a great egg hunt!

A very sleepy Easter basket

Not our greatest picture. I wish you could see Cooper's Easter outfit better!

Caroline took a little tumble...

Easter on the Farm

We went out to Chris' mom's farm and had a wonderful time hunting about a MILLION Easter eggs. Caroline was tuckered out by the time we headed home. I spent Saturday morning decorating cupcakes which is so much fun for me!

Patio Fun

Last Thursday night we took the chance to go out to Central Market and eat with some of our best buddies. The wind was RIDICULOUS that day and the smoke from a fire out west was really bad as well, but it turned out being perfect! The food was yummy (except that Brad was the only one that got the best hamburger bun we all wanted!) and the conversation was such a treat! Love you guys!

1 Month Old!

Cooper turns 1 month old today.
Here are some of my favorite memories of this month-
*I loved the time we spent together in the hospital. To be surrounded by so many caring people that we loved was so special.
* Bringing him home and having my parents waiting there with Caroline and cameras!
*Introducing him to all of my family, especially Aunt Allie! The time she was here was so special!
* Surprisingly I love the time I have with him at night. I am so tired but he is normally so calm and alert.
* It has been so much fun to see him become more alert! He has the most precious blue eyes and I can begin to see his personality in his expressions.
*He smiled for the first time this past week and I swooned! His entire faced lit up! I'll never forget it!
*He started sleeping 6 hours last week and made it 7 and 1/2 last night! What a blessing!

I can't wait to see what month 2 holds!

So Cool!

They took the old fashion scoreboard out of the Rangers Ballpark. I loved it because they changed the score by hand and I loved that because it was a throw back to the old stadiums. The only neat part about them taking it out was that they were selling the numbers they used. I was excited to buy a number for Cooper's room! I hope it's something he'll keep forever!

"That's What She Said"

The title of this entry is in honor of Joe. He said has said it at least 30 times this week!
Here's what we've been up to this week...
Caroline and Lola at the ballgame
Caroline at Chick Fil A
Dinner
Joe playing Wii
The girls
Today we went to the Ranger Game. The weather was amazing!
Her first "floam" finger
Caroline does not like the noise...

Here's a sneak peek at Cooper's going to church outfit for tomorrow!

Durn It!

Many of my closest friends have been talking for months about the Twilight series. I was So tired of not knowing what they were talking about! My friend, Laura, let me borrow her book right before Cooper was born. I tend to get really addicted to a good series, so I was warned not to start it until I was ready to be glued to it!
Well, I earlier this week I decided I was ready! I went to the pile of books that had been sitting on my chest for the last few months and picked up the one on top. I don't know anything about this series really so I opened the cover up and saw that it said "Book One." I read a very large chunk of the book and fell in LOVE! It was so amazing. I'd made up my mind to make it a long night of reading ( I love those!).
I turn the page and see the words "Book Two"... Humm so there are more than one book in each book. Yikes! It occurred to me that the "Book One" I saw originally may have meant for that individual book , not for the series. Oh Dang!
You guessed it! I read WAY into the LAST book. I am so mad! I didn't even know if I wanted to read the series. There will obviously be no real suspense! I have decided, however, to just start at the beginning and enjoy it. So maybe I know some of the big stuff, but I enjoyed what I read of the real BOOK ONE last night.
