Another Celebrity Sighting

I was walking through Ridgmar Mall today, and there was Adam (the football player formerly known as Pacman) Jones. He was dong some autograph signing, and looked less than thrilled to be there. Because I am not particularly proud of the fact that he is part of America's Team, I didn't wait in the line, but I did snap a picture!

Thanks to Kim's great parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rice, we got to go out and have a great dinner without the kids while our husbands were on their golf trip. We tried a new place called Winslow's on Camp Bowie. They had the BEST pizza!! Thanks to Sara U. for the great suggestion! We also got to eat right by Pat Green! I was too embarrassed to go ask for a picture, but Kim made me!

Welcome Landrie!

Sweet baby Landrie Reagan Durham is here! She was born last Thursday and is SOO precious!

Jones Class at the Ranger Game

This is a little overdue, but our Sunday School class went to the Ranger game. We had to endure 95 degree heat, but we had a great time!

For the Children For God's Glory

This past Sunday, we dedicated the new Children's Ministry Center at church! It is so beautiful and it was finished MONTHS early and under budget! When does that ever happen?? God has really bless us with such a beautiful facility!

Girls Night Out

Last night, Chris and Charlie played golf, so Lindsey and I decided to hang out with the girls. We met at the mall to eat and let the girls play. We had a great time reminiscing about the past 15 years! We talked about what our old friends were doing and laughed about how stupid we were back then! We had a great time! Between all of the laughs about days gone by, we pretty much spent every other breath complaining about being pregnant (yes, I am, more to come on that in another post...). Lindsey's due date came and went on Friday, and I spend most of my time throwing up or preparing to, not to mention that it has been an average of 300 degrees everyday for the past 3 weeks! We decided to treat ourselves to some dessert and something cool to drink!

Poor Jack Pt. 2

Well, the next morning after I wrote about Jack's miraculous recovery, I was walking out the door to leave for 4 days when Caroline said, "Uh Oh!" and pointed up to Jack's cage. I looked over and one of the side doors was open! GREAT!!
We looked everywhere and couldn't find him! I had to head out and Chris had to go to work, so he said he'd look for him that night when he got home. Chris got home late that night and as soon as he walked in the front door- there was Jack in the entry way! YEAH, well sort of. He tried to catch him and Jack ended up crawling back behind our kitchen cabinets! The only way to get him out would have been to rip out the cabinet!
Chris decided to just leave him in there and he put his cage on the floor. Chris went and messed around on the computer for a while and when he came out to go to bed, there was Jack in his cage!
I am taking him up to school tomorrow where hopefully, he'll be safe!

Poor Jack

Well last week, we had a little accident. I was taking Jack out of his house and he jumped out of my hands onto the floor. It was probably a 4 foot drop, but that is a lot for such a little guy. He tried to run away as soon as he hit and couldn't walk. Of course, I start freaking out!! We realized that he was not using his right front foot at all. He was having a really hard time getting around.
Thankfully, my sweet Sunday School teacher is also a vet. I picked up the phone and called Dr. Randy. He informed me that there was not a whole lot that could be done for such a small creature, but to keep an eye on him. He said that if he didn't begin using his foot in the next week or so, we would have to... send him to hamster heaven. I was DEVASTATED! I thought "the poor guy hasn't even been given the chance to see if he can survive a class of 5 year olds. His worst enemy was the teacher!!"
Thankfully, yesterday he began to put some pressure on his foot and I just heard him running on his wheel. Praise God, Jack was saved from the jaws of death... for now...
