Day 1- Hollywood Studios

Thursday, our first day, we piled into the Suburban and headed off to Hollywood Studios. We had high hopes that it wouldn't be as crowded as some of the other parks. We wanted to ease into it.
It was a beautiful day with highs in the 60's. We couldn't have asked for better weather.

We knew that the Toy Story Mania ride was the busiest ride in any of the parks, so we headed right over there to get a fast pass. As Allison, was getting our tickets, we walked across the street and, who did we run into??, but Buzz Lightyear. Cooper said "Buzz" as one of his very first words, so for us to get the meet him very first thing was such a gift. Buzz and Cooper had, what could only be called, a moment. Buzz spent time hugging him and of course Cooper was mesmerized. As we walked out, we all were a little misty eyed and agreed that the entire trip was already worth it!
Somehow both of my boys ended up wearing A&M clothes. You wouldn't believe how many other Aggies we came across. That's probably my favorite thing about being an Aggie.
Cooper is very into Cars, so getting see Lightning McQueen and Mator was very exciting. The roaring engines sort of freaked him out...
When we walked back by the Pixar area, we saw that Woody had joined Buzz. Of course we had to stop in!
I loved that they still had the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground. Caroline had no idea what it was all about, but enjoyed the time there. Chris, Anthony, Allison and I kept dreaming that there would be a jumbo Oatmeal Cream Pie for us to dive into. No luck.
This series of photos will certainly not win me "Mother of the Year," but they are pretty funny.

We were very excited to get to see Minney!
This is us getting on the Toy Story Mania ride. We did not regret using the fast pass to walk right on, instead of waiting in the 2 hour line with the others. This ride ROCKED!
Of course we had to make it to the Indiana Jones Stunt Show. Caroline loved it and Cooper did too, once he woke up.
The intensity was something Cooper really responded to. He spent most of the show like this.
We saw our first of many Disney parades on this day. I had forgotten what an extravaganza those are. They were breathtaking and fantastic. We enjoyed every one that we saw.

This park has the two best roller coasters at Disney World. Caroline loves roller coasters so she was so excited. Here we are getting on the Tower of Terror.
The Rocking Roller Coaster was probably the best ride I'd ever been on. The speakers around your head blaring Aerosmith made it so cool.
We just happened to be walking by three minutes before they turned these lights on. It was magical and the perfect way to end our first day.

My favorite memory - Cooper during Indiana Jones. His spontaneous applause at the end were priceless!
