A Great Weekend
We had a nice calm weekend. Even though we did a lot, it was all things for fun!!
On Friday night we went to a high school football game. The weather was perfect football weather! We drank hot chocolate and snuggled. It was wonderful.

On Saturday morning, Carrie and I celebrated our birthdays with a trip to the Rose Garden Tea Room. It was so tasty and we got free dessert! We had a fun time catching up. We could have talked for hours!
On Saturday evening, we trick or treated in my parents' neighborhood. (More in another post). After that, we met up for our friend Charlie's birthday dinner. We did a lot of laughing that night. We got home super late but it was worth the good time!

Fall
There are so many reasons I love this time of year! Here are a few...
- The flavors- it makes me so happy when I start to see things like pumpkin spice lattes and pumpkin spice donuts appear on the menus. There is also something so comforting about potato soup as well!
- The clothes- I can't wait to get out of bed on a day like this when I have to put on a sweater and a coat. Thank goodness- shorts are a temporary thing of the past! I also love Caroline in fall clothes. As much as I love a sundress on her, corduroy pants and a sweater with some cute Mary Janes are my favorite look for here. Even though pants make her legs look a thousand feet long- something she obviously did not inherit from me!
- The decorations- Don't get me wrong, I love decking the halls for Christmas, but there is also something sort of stressful about it. Not so with fall, putting out pumpkins, scarecrows and fall leaves is pure fun! I makes my house seem so warm when I come in! The berry wreath on my door with its golds and reds and oranges is by far the favorite one in my collection!
- The anticipation- there is something about knowing that Thanksgiving and Christmas are just on the horizon!

Ladies Night Out
We had a wonderful time last night at Ladies Night Out. JoAnn Morgan, my dad's assistant, was the speaker and there was not a dry eye in the house (from laughing and crying!)! The food was delicious as well! The only rather odd thing was when Lindsey found a worm on the table and we weren't sure where it came from and we all got the giggles!

Virginia
We had a fabulous time in Virginia. Besides the constant getting sick on my end, everyone had a trip to remember.
We started off on Thursday with a tour of some of the local sights and then went to have High Tea at the Painted Lady Tea Room.
On Friday, we headed out to Colonial Williamsburg. It was a beautiful day and they had all kinds of special events going on. I really love this place!
