We were really excited to get away one weekend in January to spend some time at the deer lease. Caroline got a pink BB gun that she was dying to try out! We stopped at the Green Frog in Jacksboro to fill up on some chicken fried steak and potatoes before finishing the last leg of our trip.
The kiddos said a quick hello to the dogs before loading up after lunch.
When we got there, Chris and I unloaded and Cooper claimed his spot with his "powpow."

Nights at the deer lease are the best part! We make dinner, roast marshmallows and sit by the fire. Caroline enjoyed make shadow puppets on the side of Papa Charlie's camper.
This is how I spent my weekend...
The kiddos loved sharing the top bunk! This is what I woke up to on the second morning! Way better than my normal alarm!!
Coop helped me navigate while Dad, CC and the dogs looked for birds.
Tucker and Buddy had a great time! Tucker found every water hole or creek that was out there!
